With challenges such as the department store sector starting to flag, and increasing globalisation in Australia as new international players enter the high street, Walker suggested Myer needs to inject more capital into data and business information systems to stay ahead.
A focus on keeping exclusive, and having a stronger point of differentiation in the market is needed to keep stimulating the customer that may be fatiguing.
