With a strategic move to take market share away from Coles & Woolworths, Aldi are trialling new formats around fresh food, perimeter departments, a more contemporary layout, bigger ranges and really taking it to the big players.
Aldi are #3 and growing in the Australian Supermarket sector and are clearly disrupting supermarket retail. Aldi will be rolling out another 250 stores, hence are really a serious competitor amongst Australian Supermarkets.
