Welcome to this month’s new look Retail Barometer.  

The end of the financial year brings the traditional sales period, although this year we see increased and more systematic sales discounting across the board as economic uncertainty, consumer frugality and a late winter season all contribute to some sombre retail trading results.  That said there are some shining ‘fit businesses’ out there producing good results and maintaining margins.
