Visual Merchandise Programme Print E-mail
The following module will assist you in building strong retail displays to motivate your customers and assist them in making earlier and more profitable buying choices.

Effective visual merchandising acts as the “silent salesperson” within your business to ensure the brand promise and potential to sell your product is maximised.

The overall purpose of visual merchandising is:-

1. To sell by showing and promoting product.
2. To introduce and explain new and current merchandise.
3. To answer questions on the use and accessorising of a product.
4. To encourage the shopper to enter the store.
5. To get the customer to pause and "shop" the selling floor.
6. To establish, promote and enhance the store's visual image.

We show in order to sell.  Display or visual merchandising is "showing" merchandise and concepts at their very best, with the end purpose of making a sale.  We may not actually sell the object displayed or the idea promoted, but we do attempt to convince the viewer of the value of the object, the store promoting the object, or the organisation behind the concept.  Although a sale may not be made due to a particular display, that display should make an impression on the viewer which will affect future sales.

The Retail Doctor® Visual Merchandising Module will support you in building and training your staff in producing consistently strong retail displays to motivate your customers and assist them in making earlier and more profitable buying choices.
