The Retail Doctor Successfull Outcomes
FIFA World Retail
fifa.jpgBrief:  Global Brands Group  commissioned the Retail Doctor   to create a leading strategic growth path & supporting operational delivery platform that delivered a full retail model for world wide duplication through a global licensing program.

Deliverables: The Retail Doctor developed a holistic retail strategy. The execution included a review of products based on strategic positioning, life cycle and profit analysis, new layouts and plan-o-grams based on best practice retail principles.  This, coupled with all retail operational and training systems, ensured that the model was developed in various formats and ready for licensing globally.  Each and every aspect of the retail framework was designed to maximize sales, productivity and concept efficiency, while adhering to a consistent platform  which reflects the unique FIFA brand.

Outcomes:  All Retail Doctor implementation programs accepted and developed with prototype stores completed. Stores now being licensed globally with the first store  opening  in Singapore (Changai Airport) in September 08. Full retail operational platform and framework for international rollout developed and now being replicated to a world wide retail channel partner

 

National Australia Bank

nab.jpgBrief: The National Bank has committed to transform their  National Australia Retail banking across Australia to the “Greatest Shopping Experience In Retail Banking”. The Retail Doctor was selected through a public tender process to contribute to this retail banking strategy through a review of all existing retail design and operational practices in pursuit of  this objective.

Deliverables: The Retail Doctor provided a ‘Fit For Business” diagnosis of all existing retail practices against strategic intent including strategic alignment, branch format, design and operational practices, and delivered a series of recommendations with  full implementation planning scheduling.  These recommendations included:
The concept of a product suite  progressing to merchandise planning and customer choice
Reduction in working capital investment through refined and integrated contemporary retail formats

Outcomes :All recommendations endorsed and accepted. The implementation project team has been appointed with the Retail Doctor serving as an independent project advisor. First tranche of Retail Doctor influenced stores opened in September 07.

 

DENIM Enterprises- G -STAR
denim-gstar.jpgBrief: To diagnose and implement a fully tailored  retail operation framework for G Star Australia that underpins  all aspects of the company expansion into the Australasian retail marketplace.

Approach: The Retail Doctor conducted  a “Fit for Business” diagnostic program within the Denim Enterprises business identifying existing retail practices against company strategic intent. Working closely with the business owners The Retail Doctor developed and delivered a retail framework including operational growth plans, support resource structure, merchandise planning, customer research methodology, point of difference positioning and a full retail operational framework. This included G-Star  retail operations manuals, training programs, HR system, and locational planning to provide the company growth and financial platform for future retail expansion in the Australasian market.

Outcomes: G-Star Australia has a complete retail planning strategy supported with a Retail Operational platform. The business is now able to consistently replicate its operating model, coupled with a sound positioning and customer positioning strategy supported by a fully tailored retail operational framework
 

Telstra
telstra.jpgBrief: The Retail Doctor was engaged to assess current retail capability amongst the Telstra’s dealer network against best practice retail benchmarks. Theses defined critical success factors provided the best practice accreditation framework utilsed for assessing  retailer performance in both dealer (b2b)  and retailer channels.

Deliverables: Undertaking a series of interviews, observations and rigorously assessing current practice, developing the accreditation stages and modeling this against best practice.

Outcome: The accreditation framework has been accepted throughout the channel with the Retail Doctor further engaged to provide program development.  The tiered accreditation pathway recommended by the Retail Doctor has been accepted for complete channel wide implementation
